Thermoelectric properties of Ru2TiGe Heusler phase

We report a study of structural, magnetic, heat capacity and thermoelectric properties Ru-based Heusler alloy, Ru2TiGe. The magnetic measurements reveal that at higher temperatures, diamagnetic Pauli paramagnetic contributions dominate the behaviour whereas, lower temperatures (T ≤ 20 K), superparamagnetic interaction among clusters is observed. development such magnetism, however, does not exhibit any noticeable influence in properties. Though temperature dependence electrical resistivity exhibits metal-like nature, large value Seebeck coefficient leads to an appreciable power factor order 0.54 mW/mK2 300 K. Large as well low thermal conductivity results zT = 0.025 390 K for Ru2TiGe orders magnitude than other pure alloys point towards its high potential practical applications.
